Insider Spotlight:
The motorcycle manufacturer has started exporting its Click125 model to N.C.X. Co., Ltd. Cambodia and Laos, Honda’s exclusive motorcycle manufacturer, distributor, and assembler in the two countries.
The initiative reflects HPI’s push to grow its international business operations while increasing the reach of Philippine-made motorcycles across the region.
Why it matters
The expansion comes as manufacturers in Southeast Asia continue to deepen regional supply chains and optimize production bases to address growing demand for affordable mobility products.
A company release said HPI held a send-off ceremony on May 15 attended by executives, management members, and project leaders to mark the dispatch of the first batch of Click125 units bound for Cambodia and Laos. Export containers and motorcycle units prepared for shipment were also showcased during the event.
The Click125 has become one of Honda’s strongest-selling motorcycle models in the Philippines, driven by demand for fuel-efficient commuter motorcycles amid rising transportation costs and increasing urban mobility needs.
The model is known for its aggressive yet minimalist design, fuel-efficient engine, and rider-focused features tailored for daily commuting. Its popularity among Filipino consumers has positioned it as a viable export product for nearby Southeast Asian markets where demand for practical and affordable motorcycles remains strong.
What they’re saying
“The Click125 export to NCX Cambodia and Laos marks another significant achievement for Honda Philippines as we bring one of the most trusted motorcycle models of Filipino riders to international markets,” said Takeshi Kobayashi, president of Honda Philippines Inc.
“This milestone reflects our commitment to showcasing the quality of Philippine-made motorcycles and delivering the Joy of Mobility to more customers across the region,” he said.
