Insider Spotlight
GBayanihan allows users to donate directly to accredited partner organizations through a simple and secure process. The platform reflects GCash’s push to use digital technology to promote financial inclusion and turn everyday transactions into opportunities for social impact.
Why it matters
Traditional fundraising often depends on offline channels and manual processes, limiting the reach of organizations and slowing the delivery of support.
GBayanihan brings donations into an app millions of Filipinos already use, making giving more accessible while helping NGOs receive funds faster.
With the theme “Sama-sama sa Iisang Layunin,” GCash formalized its collaboration with newly onboarded partners including Andres Soriano Foundation, GMA Kapuso Foundation, Kythe Foundation, Lamdag Foundation, Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation, Philippine Foundation for Cultural and Educational Development, and Uygongco Foundation.
Other partners include ABS-CBN Foundation, Alalay sa Kaunlaran Inc., Angat Buhay, Ayala Foundation, Cancer Treatment and Support Foundation Inc., Couples for Christ–Answering the Cry of the Poor, PHINMA Foundation, Philippine Red Cross, Save the Children, Virlanie Foundation, and World Vision Philippines.
What they’re saying
“By welcoming our new and existing partners to the GBayanihan platform, we are opening a secure, digital gateway that bridges the gap between millions of generous Filipinos and the vital grassroots causes that need their help right now,” Mynt group head of new businesses Winsley Bangit said.
The platform raised more than P8 million from June 8 to 30, 2026, with over 10,000 Filipinos contributing to disaster relief efforts.
Recent initiatives included mobilizing donations for earthquake-affected communities in Mindanao, where rapid coordination was critical. Through partners under its Disaster Response category, GBayanihan helped streamline the delivery of aid to communities on the ground.
How it works
Organizations seeking to join GBayanihan must submit accreditation, legal, financial, tax, and compliance documents, complete GCash onboarding requirements, and sign a memorandum of agreement.
Applications are reviewed for regulatory compliance and organizational legitimacy before partners are approved and activated on the platform, helping ensure that donations reach verified organizations. —Ramon C. Nocon | Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
