The Gaisano family-led Metro Retail Stores Group is expanding its footprint, breaking ground on four new supermarkets in Cebu and Leyte.
The new stores include a Metro Supermarket in Barangay Tayud and Metro Value Mart locations in Barangay Poblacion and Barangay Tangke in Cebu, as well as a Metro Supermarket in Barangay Marvel, Isabel in Leyte.
"These new establishments mark the beginning of a new chapter for these communities,” said MRSGI vice president Benedicto Miranda said in a statement. "Our partnership with the local governments and the active participation of residents underscores our commitment to enhancing the quality of life for the people of Cebu and Leyte,” he added.
