First Gen seeks bids for cargo of LNG needed by Batangas power plants

Lopez-owned First Gen Corp. is inviting bids for a cargo of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to fuel its gas-fired power plants at the First Gen Clean Energy Complex in Batangas.

In an invitation to bid (ITB), First Gen announced that its subsidiary, First Gen Singapore Pte. Ltd., is seeking bids from qualified LNG suppliers for one cargo totaling 154,500 cubic meters, with an operational tolerance of +/- 3 percent.

The LNG will be delivered on a "delivered ex-ship" basis and loaded onto the BW Batangas vessel at the Subic Bay Freeport in Zambales. The award is expected by Sept. 16, 2024, and the delivery window will be from Oct. 14 to 18, 2024.

Interested bidders are required to sign a confidentiality agreement, which can be requested via email at famangahas@firstgen.com.ph before receiving the bid documents. All bids must comply with the instructions provided in the bid documents.
