Filipino investors are increasingly looking beyond local markets to grow their money, with technology and innovation companies abroad emerging as a major draw.

That growing appetite for international exposure is behind a new partnership between ATRAM Trust Corp. (ATRAM) and DragonFi Securities Inc. (DragonFi), which aims to give more Filipino investors digital access to professionally managed investment products.

Under the partnership, DragonFi will serve as an institutional trust agent of ATRAM, allowing investors to access ATRAM-managed investment solutions through DragonFi’s technology-driven platform.

Global appetite grows

The partnership comes as DragonFi sees strong demand for international investment opportunities among its users.

Nearly two-thirds of investments sourced through the DragonFi platform have gone into the ATRAM Nasdaq Equity Opportunity Feeder Fund, according to the companies.

The fund provides investors with exposure to global companies, including businesses associated with technology and innovation.

The uptake suggests that Filipino investors are increasingly considering overseas markets as part of their long-term wealth-building strategies.

“We’re seeing more Filipinos take an active role in growing their wealth and exploring investment opportunities beyond traditional options,” ATRAM chief marketing officer Andrew Caw said in a statement.

Caw said the partnership would help make professionally managed investment products available to a broader group of investors.

Digital route to investing

DragonFi CEO Jon Lim said Filipino investors are increasingly seeking greater access to global markets alongside more traditional investment choices.

The partnership combines DragonFi’s digital investing infrastructure with ATRAM’s investment management capabilities, giving users access to a broader range of investment solutions on a single platform.

“An important part of our mission is to make sophisticated investment opportunities simpler, more accessible, and more relevant to the long-term wealth-building needs of Filipinos,” Lim said.

The tie-up also reflects the broader shift toward digital financial services as investment platforms make products that once required more traditional channels easier for retail investors to access.

ATRAM and DragonFi said they plan to support that expansion through investment products, investor education and initiatives promoting financial literacy and inclusion.
