The agreement, signed at SGH’s headquarters in Angeles City, designates Savers Group Holdings as Best Western’s exclusive developer in the Philippines. Under this arrangement, SGH will have the exclusive rights to identify, assist, and develop hotels looking to join Best Western’s portfolio of brands, which includes Best Western®, Best Western Plus®, Best Western Premier®, and the SureStay® family of hotels.
Representing Savers Group at the signing were chair Jaime “Jack” Uy, president and COO Jansen Ivan Uy, and EVP Justine Shaun Uy. Best Western was represented by vice president for Asia Pacific Olivier Berrivin, managing director for operations Rodney Simpson, and managing director for development Cyrill Czerwonka.
“With decades of experience in the hospitality industry, the Savers Group has developed an experience for travelers that blends home-grown hospitality with world-class amenities,” Jaime Uy said. “With this partnership, we can take this travel experience nationwide under the renowned Best Western brand.”
The agreement aims to support Best Western’s expansion across high-growth destinations including Clark, Subic, Metro Manila, and other key tourism and business hubs. SGH also announced that its newest property — the Best Western Plus Hotel Subic — is slated to open its doors in August 2025.
Positioned in one of the country’s rising leisure and business centers, the Subic property will offer modern accommodations and upscale amenities that align with the Best Western brand’s reputation for quality and service.
Uy noted that the collaboration reinforces SGH’s mission to help transform Central Luzon and other regional markets into vibrant tourism hubs. “We are proud to be entrusted by Best Western to help grow its presence in the Philippines,” he added.
Savers Group, known for its businesses in real estate, retail, and technology, is leveraging its local insight and operational scale to bring Best Western’s global standards to more Filipino travelers.
The partnership is expected to support the country’s growing demand for quality accommodations while boosting regional tourism and economic development. —Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
