Why it matters
The stronger commercial performance comes as businesses increasingly prioritize AI-ready devices, cybersecurity and productivity tools to support hybrid work and more demanding computing workloads. ASUS said the momentum has strengthened its confidence in expanding its enterprise offerings in the country.
The growth milestone was announced during the Philippine introduction of the ASUS ExpertBook Ultra, the company's latest AI-powered commercial laptop. ASUS Co-CEO Samson Hu, who visited the Philippines for the event, also outlined the company's goal of making the ASUS Expert Series the country's leading commercial PC brand by 2028.
By the numbers
ASUS said its commercial business now represents 27 percent of its overall Philippine operations after posting 85 percent growth, highlighting a shift toward higher enterprise adoption alongside its consumer business.
"The ExpertBook Ultra is the absolute pinnacle of ASUS engineering and our definitive answer to the future of work," Hu said in a press statement.
The company said the new device is designed for executives and enterprise users seeking AI capabilities, security and portability in a premium business laptop. It weighs less than one kilogram and integrates Intel's latest Core Ultra processor with dedicated AI computing features, enterprise-grade security and extended battery life.
Between the lines
ASUS is betting that demand for AI-enabled enterprise hardware will continue to rise as businesses deploy generative AI tools and modernize workplace infrastructure. The commercial segment has become an increasingly important growth driver for the company amid a maturing consumer PC market.
The ExpertBook Ultra is now available in the Philippines with a starting price of P129,995 through select ASUS authorized stores and technology retailers. —Vanessa Hidalgo | Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
