Insider Spotlight
The global digital advertising and fintech company, which serves as the official media rights distributor of the tournament in the Philippines, said its ecosystem is designed to meet audiences wherever they consume content as the expanded 48-team competition begins for local viewers on June 12.
Why it matters
The FIFA World Cup 2026™ will be the largest edition in the tournament’s history, featuring 104 matches across Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
Aleph’s strategy reflects the growing shift toward digital-first sports consumption, where fans increasingly follow matches across social media, streaming services, and mobile devices rather than through a single broadcast channel.
At the center of the initiative is Aleph Arena, a digital hub that will distribute more than 5,000 original video clips, behind-the-scenes features, localized commentary, and creator-led content throughout the tournament via YouTube, TikTok, and X.
The details
YouTube will serve as the flagship platform for the initiative, carrying 40 marquee matches live and free through the official Aleph Arena channel.
The platform will also host “Football Natin ’To!” and other match-related programs designed to encourage fan participation and conversation.
For viewers seeking full tournament coverage, all 104 matches will be streamed through WCTV by Aleph Arena via BlastTV, providing live and on-demand access for subscribers.
What’s next
Aleph said its content strategy extends beyond live match coverage, with tactical analysis, vertical recap videos, creator reactions, lifestyle content, and social media updates intended to keep fans engaged from the opening match through the final on July 20.
The company expects the approach to transform the World Cup into a continuous digital experience for Filipino audiences rather than a series of standalone broadcasts. —Vanessa Hidalgo| Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
