The alliance aims to combine Taisho’s global healthcare expertise with AC Health Pharma’s local distribution capabilities to bring a wider range of trusted and innovative healthcare solutions to the Philippine market.
The move reflects AC Health’s broader strategy of strengthening healthcare access through partnerships with established international healthcare brands.
Why it matters
The partnership comes as healthcare providers and pharmaceutical companies seek to improve the affordability, accessibility, and availability of medicines across the country.
By leveraging AC Health’s healthcare network and Taisho’s established product portfolio, the companies aim to reach more consumers and address growing healthcare needs.
“AC Health continues to improve the affordability, accessibility, and availability of medicines for the Filipino consumer. We look forward to bringing high quality and innovative Japanese products across AC Health’s growing network of over 900 pharmacies, 300 corporate clinics, 17 multi-specialty centers and 7 hospitals,” AC Health Pharma president and CEO Atty. Yet Abarca said in a press statement.
Founded in 1912, Taisho Pharmaceutical has more than a century of experience in consumer healthcare and is known for a range of over-the-counter medicines and health-related products. Its portfolio includes Tempra, Flanax, Bonamine, Vivalyte, Biofermin, Luseco, and Locoa.
The details
Taisho said the partnership underscores its commitment to expanding its presence in the Philippines while working with a local healthcare player that has built a broad network across multiple healthcare segments.
“This collaboration reflects Taisho’s long-term commitment to the Philippine market, our strong confidence in AC Health and AC Health Pharma, and our shared vision of helping more Filipinos live healthier and better lives through greater access to world-class healthcare products, services, and innovations from Japan,” Taisho Pharmaceuticals Philippines president Jiang Peng said.
