The 113-year-old Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines company will be known as “Coca-Cola Europacific Aboitiz Philippines” to reflect its new ownership structure.
“More than anything, this new name represents the strength of our partnership with Coca-Cola Europacific Partners,” Aboitiz Group CEO Sabin Aboitiz said in a statement.
“We share a solid commitment to our customers and communities, and with this new identity, we believe we can make a much more meaningful impact,” he added.
Coca-Cola has been present in the Philippines since the early 20th century, with local production starting in 1927. Its portfolio includes popular carbonated beverages such as Coca-Cola, Royal, and Sprite.
The venture, which includes AEV’s purchase of Coca-Cola Philippines, marks a strategic push into the consumer segment, complementing its existing portfolio, which includes Aboitiz Power, Union Bank of the Philippines, and Pilmico Foods.
“Our new name signifies an exciting new phase in our journey as we reaffirm our commitment to serving our customers, supporting our people and communities, and driving long-term growth for the country,” Gareth McGeown, President and CEO of CCEAP, said.
