The event, hosted by food and sustainability advocate Shawntel Nicole Nieto, featured insightful keynotes from esteemed speakers such as University of the Philippines academic Patricia Sybil “Auie” Aurelio and Estesa “Teeza” Xaris Que-Legaspi, director of the Lasallian Center for Inclusion, Diversity, and Well-being.
Discussions revolved around breaking societal and organizational barriers, promoting inclusive leadership, and translating gender commitments into measurable results.
“We firmly believe in the transformative power of collaboration and innovation,” said Fides Amor Ricasa, TP Philippines EVP for business development. “This summit provides an interactive platform for multisectoral stakeholders to jointly address crucial women’s rights issues.”
A high-impact panel discussion with TP executive sponsors Jeffrey Johnson (chief people officer), Toni Tompar (EVP), and Nina Kristine Abad (VP of operations) underlined the company’s progressive stance on gender equality. Johnson proudly announced TP’s achievement of gender-pay equity across all levels of the organization, while Tompar emphasized leadership accountability and people-first strategies amid global disruptions.
The summit also highlighted TP’s strategic framework for advancing workplace inclusion, which is anchored on three pillars: data-driven benchmarking, leadership by example, and community building. These efforts are supported by TP’s Emotional Intelligence (EI) program, which Abad described as “a critical driver of success in the age of AI.”
For its unwavering efforts, TP Philippines was awarded 1st Runner-Up in the Gender-Inclusive Workplace category by the United Nations Women Empowerment Principles (UNWEPs) in 2024—the only IT-BPM firm recognized in the category. —Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
