Themed “Collaboration for Change: Entrepreneurs and Government for a More Inclusive Future,” the event gathered top women leaders from the government and the business sector to advocate for inclusive policies and drive meaningful change.
Toni Tompar, executive vice president of TP in the Philippines and chair of TP Women, took center stage as a panelist, emphasizing the power of collaboration in fostering workplace inclusivity.
She highlighted TP’s milestone achievement of having women hold over 57 percent of leadership positions, attributing this success to the company’s strong collaborations with government agencies and private sector partners.
“TP is not only driven by technology; we’re also powered by people,” Tompar stated. “The partnerships we have with the government and private sector enhance our platforms. And when women are empowered to be economically independent and strong, it benefits the nation.”
TP Women, the company’s dedicated employee resource group, plays a crucial role in mentoring and developing women leaders across 27 TP sites in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
The company actively participates in gender equality initiatives, upholds the United Nations Global Compact and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and collaborates with organizations like the Philippine Business Coalition for Women Empowerment (PBCWE).
Beyond gender diversity, TP integrates emotional intelligence (EI) training into its digital transformation strategy, ensuring employees can leverage AI-driven innovations while fostering a people-first workplace culture.
For its commitment to gender-inclusive workplace policies, TP earned the 1st runner-up honor at the 2024 United Nations Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) Awards. — Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
