Launched during an event in Quezon City in late 2024, the brand aims to cater to the dietary needs of Filipino Muslims while appealing to a broader audience.
The highlights of AlBarakah's offering are its premium shredded and minced hash corned beef which offer flavors crafted to align with Islamic dietary laws.
AlBarakah CEO Ameerah Tamundong, speaking at the launch event, shared her motivation for starting the brand.
“My fellow Muslims and I didn’t always have the easiest time adhering to our own dietary principles,” she said. “We wanted to eradicate that problem for all our fellow Muslims by providing an easily accessible source for great tasting and healthy halal products.”
AlBarakah also targets Filipino food enthusiasts beyond the Muslim community.
“Good food is one of the universal languages of the Pinoy experience,” said Tamundong. “At AlBarakah, first and foremost, we make good food.”
The launch demonstrated the brand's potential to bridge cultural and culinary gaps, ensuring halal food is both accessible and appealing to all Filipinos.
AlBarakah said its products will soon be widely available, offering new flavors for the local market to explore.
