The recognition, awarded at the 2025 ASEAN Corporate Governance Conference and Awards, highlights Ayala’s strength in board oversight, transparency, and stakeholder alignment.
It comes as investor scrutiny sharpens around governance as a core indicator of corporate resilience.
Management’s view
“At Ayala, we believe that excellence in corporate governance enables decision making processes and actions that are purposeful and consistent with our objective to build businesses that enable people to thrive,” said Franchette M. Acosta, Chief Legal Officer, Compliance Officer, Corporate Secretary and Corporate Governance Group Head.
"At the same time, a strong governance ethic is key to maintaining investor interest and confidence. We are truly honored to be granted this distinction, which inspires us to continue with our efforts to do business with integrity, transparency and accountability for the benefit of all our stakeholders,” she added.
Ayala units score high
The regional awards, held in Kuala Lumpur, evaluated companies from six ASEAN markets based on their publicly disclosed governance practices.
Ayala’s inclusion follows years of consistent performance in the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard, underscoring its commitment to high standards.
Globe Telecom, an Ayala company, also made the ASEAN top 50 list. Five other affiliates—ACEN, AREIT, Ayala Land, AyalaLand Logistics, and Bank of the Philippine Islands—were named to the ASEAN Asset Class for surpassing the 97.5-point threshold.
