Security Bank partners help secure classrooms for Filipino kids

The people helping secure Security Bank are now helping secure a brighter future for Filipino children.

Six accredited security agency partners of Security Bank donated cash and in-kind support to Security Bank Foundation Inc.’s (SBFI) Bayanihan Para sa Silid-Aralan campaign, which raises funds to construct classrooms in public schools nationwide.

Securing the future

"As a Security Banker and someone who works closely with our security agency partners, I strongly believe in Security Bank Foundation's advocacy for education. That's why I invited our partner agencies to join us in nation-building by supporting the Bayanihan Para sa Silid-Aralan campaign," Security Bank chief security officer Gen. Billy Beltran said in a statement.

Participating agencies were Eparwa Security Services, Gallantry Security and Investigation Agency, Magno's Security & Investigation Services, Tarsier Security Agency, BOS Security Solutions and Services, and Quiambao Security Specialists.

Beyond safeguarding the bank

The initiative was led by Beltran and Security Bank Security and Safety Division special operations head Col. Ferjen Torred, extending the agencies’ role in providing security into support for Filipino students and their learning environments.

This year, SBFI is constructing 60 classrooms for eight public schools across the Philippines. Contributions from the security agencies will help offset rising construction costs while allowing the foundation to reach more students and communities.

Building more secure foundations

The Bayanihan Para sa Silid-Aralan campaign is part of SBFI’s Build a School, Build a Nation program, which has been helping address the country’s classroom shortage by constructing facilities for public schools since 2011.

SBFI is also inviting individuals and organizations to participate in the campaign. Donations will support its efforts to provide Filipino children with safe and conducive spaces where they can learn, grow and prepare for their futures. —Ramon C. Nocon | Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
