The SEC received the prestigious Overseas Employer of the Year Award during the IiP Awards 2024 ceremony in London on Nov. 13, 2024.
This accolade highlights the SEC's commitment to fostering employee growth, wellbeing, and excellence through innovative human resource management, capacity-building programs, and effective communication strategies.
SEC Chair Emilio B. Aquino lauded the recognition, emphasizing that investing in people is integral to achieving the Commission’s regulatory goals under its SuperVision 2028 initiative.
“This recognition serves as another testament to the steadfast commitment of the Commission in upholding the highest standards in ensuring the welfare of our employees,” Aquino said.
SEC Commissioner Javey Paul D. Francisco accepted the award, underscoring the agency’s position as the only Philippine national government agency honored this year.
The SEC’s people-first approach includes ramping up learning programs from 19 in 2023 to 80 in 2024, streamlining processes through digitalization, and adopting flexible work arrangements to prioritize mental health.
This recognition follows the SEC's accreditation from IiP in February 2024 and its recent PRIME-HRM Maturity Level III certification from the Civil Service Commission.
