Recto Urges Empathy for Grassroots in DOF Policies

Finance Secretary Ralph G. Recto has called for the Department of Finance (DOF) to set fiscal policies with more empathy toward people at the grassroots, in an effort to ensure that the economy benefits every citizen.

Speaking at the DOF’s 127th Anniversary, Recto emphasized the importance of connecting with everyday realities to formulate policies and deliver services that truly meet the needs of Filipinos.

He highlighted the role of the DOF in funding critical infrastructure, education, and health services that form the foundation for a thriving society.

Recto said his vision for a more empathetic DOF underscores a commitment to an inclusive economic growth that considers the challenges faced by everyday Filipinos.
