Insider Spotlight
More than 200 leaders across the organization joined its latest Leaders’ Bootcamp, themed “Ignite the Future: Siklab ng Pusong Palawan,” for sessions focused on leadership, organizational change and customer service.
Evolution of the business
Palawan Group said leadership development is intended to help managers understand their teams, make sound decisions and adapt their ways of working as the business evolves.
“If our business continues to move forward while our ways of working remain the same, eventually, our own processes can become the things that slow us down. So the question is not simply ‘Are we ready to change?’ The more important question is: ‘Are we ready to change fast enough for what is ahead?’” Palawan Group president and CEO Karlo M. Castro said in a press statement.
Next chapter
The program builds on Palawan Group’s 2024 bootcamp, which introduced a Leadership and Core Competency Profile covering leaders’ mindset, heartset and skillset. The latest gathering highlighted adaptability, innovation, customer-centricity and people skills as drivers of sustainable growth.
“In the Palawan Group, we know how to make things happen. We overcome challenges. We step up. We learn, we adapt, and we move forward. That is Pusong Palawan. As our organization continues to grow and evolve, we need to ask ourselves: Paano natin dadalhin ang mindset na ito sa next level?” Palawan Group chief human resources officer Korina Castro-Fernando said.
"The next chapter of Palawan is not simply about becoming bigger. It is about becoming bigger, better, and stronger for the millions of Filipinos who trust in our services everyday,” she added.
Readiness, resilience
The bootcamp also tackled transformation readiness, customer engagement, resilience and operational excellence, while founders Bobby and Angelita Castro discussed preserving Palawan’s values and culture as the company scales.
