The move consolidates Mead Johnson’s local operations with Reckitt Philippines, its UK-based parent company known for brands like Lysol, Strepsils, and Durex.
The big picture
Uptown Bonifacio continues to position itself as a prime destination for multinational corporations seeking integrated, high-grade office environments. Mead Johnson’s transfer signals sustained demand for premium office space despite evolving workplace trends.
The company will occupy the newly completed Uptown Eastgate tower, a 31-story LEED Gold-certified development designed for large-scale enterprise use.
Why it matters
The relocation underscores Bonifacio Global City’s role as a central hub for global business operations in the Philippines, particularly for shared services and regional headquarters.
“Uptown Bonifacio continues to attract the world’s biggest companies because it offers a complete ecosystem for success—modern office developments complemented by a vibrant commercial district and topnotch residential condominium towers,” said Francis Roxas, head of Megaworld Global Offices.
By the numbers
Uptown Eastgate offers 100,000 square meters of gross leasable space, including floor plates of up to 5,000 square meters—among the largest in the market.
Megaworld reported P14.9 billion in office leasing revenues in 2025, up 11 percent year-on-year, driven by new developments and sustained demand from BPOs and multinational firms.
Zoom out
Uptown Bonifacio now hosts more than 30 multinational and local firms employing over 60,000 professionals across seven office towers, reinforcing its status as a key business district within Metro Manila.
Megaworld also remains the country’s largest office landlord, managing nearly 900,000 square meters of office space in BGC alone.
What’s next
With continued expansions from global companies, Megaworld is expected to sustain leasing momentum, particularly as firms prioritize integrated townships that combine workspace, residential, and lifestyle components. —Daxim L. Lucas |Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
