The company, a leader in airline and aircraft services, led the groundbreaking ceremony for Lapu-Lapu City’s seawater desalination project on Sept. 18, 2024.
The project, spearheaded by SWRI’s subsidiary CSWater Lapu-Lapu Inc. (CSWLL), aims to meet the city’s rising water demands.
It includes the construction of a 15-million-liter-per-day desalination plant in Punta Engaño and a 500-cubic-meter-per-day facility on Olango Island.
The initiative officially kicked off in May 2024, following approval from Mayor Junard “Ahong” Chan.
