Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) will temporarily suspend LRT-1 operations on three weekends in August 2024 to prepare for the LRT-1 Cavite Extension Phase 1 opening later this year.
The suspension will affect train service from Fernando Poe Jr. Station to Baclaran Station on August 17-18, August 24-25, and August 31-September 1.
This closure will allow the integration of the new Cavite Extension stations with the existing LRT-1 system, ensuring safety and reliability.
Commuters are advised to plan ahead and use alternative transportation options like buses and jeepneys during the suspension.
