INSIDER FOCUS | Rado flagship store debuts in Ayala Malls Glorietta

In the global watch industry, Rado, with roots tracing back to 1917, stands as one of the more understated yet distinctive Swiss brands available in the market. Renowned for its pioneering use of revolutionary materials and timeless design, the brand lives by its philosophy: “If we can imagine it, we can make it.”

Now, Rado is making a bold statement in the Philippines with the recent opening of its flagship store, marking a significant milestone in its journey.

Spanning an impressive 103 square meters, the new store embodies Rado’s signature elegant, minimalist aesthetic. Every detail of the space draws visitors into the world of luxury, creating a sophisticated yet warm, inviting atmosphere.

Designed for a truly personalized shopping experience, the store allows enthusiasts and newcomers alike to explore Rado’s most celebrated collections up close, offering a tactile encounter with the brand’s renowned çraftmanship. mastery.

“The boutique that we are celebrating today is our largest and most sophisticated one in the Philippines, but is not just a store,” said Gentiana Plakolli, Rado’s regional brand manager. “It's a statement — a celebration of what Rado stands for: timeless design, Swiss innovation, and a deep respect for the decades of history that we share together.”

Of particular note is the Rado anchor symbol, a key element in the brand’s visual identity and an integral feature of  the store’s design.

“Like the Rado symbol anchoring our values, we can say that this boutique is anchored, too — anchored in decades of history, anchored in local partnerships, and anchored in the trust and support of everyone here today,” Plakolli further said.

And then, of course, taking front and center are Rado’s standout models that are sure to delight loyal Rado owners and aspiring collectors alike: the Rado Anatom, Rado Captain Cook, and Rado True Square Skeleton.

Rado Anatom with high-tech ceramic bracelet

For the Rado Anatom, five new editions symbolize the pursuit of pure, ergonomic harmony — a progressive symbiosis where design and materials come together to perfectly complement the natural contours of the wrist. The lightness and smoothness of the high-tech ceramic, coupled with its ability to rapidly adapt to the wearer’s body temperature, maximizes comfort, making it feel like a natural extension of the body.

A symbol of free-thinking futurism when officially launched in 1983, the new Rado Anatom was undoubtedly a revolutionary watch back then. Today’s editions remain faithful heirs to the original — they follow a similar form and minimalist aesthetic, and share design motifs like the horizontal line motif on the dial and bracelet.

Rado Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Chronograph

Rugged, athletic, and devastatingly good looking, the Rado Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Chronograph — in black and rose gold — is a performance watch that deploys a ceramic monoblock case, with a ceramic insert across the bezel and bracelet, making it unbelievably lightweight.

Its box-shaped sapphire crystal is highly resistant to scratches, while the case is water-resistant to 30 bar, equipped with screw-down and dual screw-down chronograph pushers to guard against water ingress.

Rado Captain Cook Over-Pole

The Over-Pole makes a triumphant return, unveiled in a striking version that stays true to its heritage. It retains hallmark features such the R862 calibre, now housed in a bolder, larger 39-mm case, for this repeat limited edition of just 1962 units.

Powered by a manual movement with the precision of an automatic, the watch achieves a slimmer profile thanks to the absence of a counterweight winder, allowing for a case design that is both elegant and technically refined.

The bidirectional rotatable bezel, in black high-tech ceramic, stands in beautiful contrast to the yellow gold-colored PVD-finished case and matching crown. The Over-Pole comes with both a stylish, polished and brushed rice-grain-type yellow gold-colored PVD coated stainless steel bracelet with a triple fold clasp, and a rugged, sporty, brown vintage-style leather strap with a polished yellow gold-colored pin buckle.

Rado True Square Skeleton

The new Rado True Square Skeleton highlights rugged masculinity with its matt finish, sandblasted detailing and a completely exposed movement.

This update to the True Square family is presented through a trio of new timepieces, led by a standout model crafted in matt plasma high ceramic case, crown and bracelet.  With nothing hidden from view, the mechanics of the Rado calibre R808 automatic movement is revered for the intricate harmony of its springs, cogs, wheels and balances. With an 80-hour power reserve for unmatched endurance, the watch features a 38-mm case that blends endurance with refined proportions.

With its commitment to design excellence and material innovation, the new Rado flagship store in Glorietta 4 showcasing impressive Rado models is poised to become a destination for watch aficionados and style enthusiasts seeking both sophistication and substance.
