Clean power firm Alternergy joins ATRAM’s top portfolio of stocks

Alternergy Holdings Corp., chaired by former Energy secretary Vicente Pérez, has been included in ATRAM Trust Corporation’s sustainability-focused equity portfolio, one of its top-performing funds.

The P400-million ATRAM Philippine Sustainable Development and Growth Fund invests in companies leading in sustainable practices and aligning with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. 

Management’s view 

“We are delighted to be added in ATRAM’s sustainability-based equity portfolio. It affirms ALTER’s core value of promoting sustainability as a pioneer in renewable power,” Pérez said. 

“And as we pursue our road to 500-MW [megawatt] target, we are committed to exercise even greater care and vigilance in implementing sustainable practices across the entire value chain of building renewable energy projects,” he added. 

Top performing fund 

Alternergy was ranked among its top 20 publicly listed firms for strong sustainability integration. 

ATRAM also highlighted the company’s 2024 Sustainability Report for its transparency and detailed strategies that set an industry benchmark. 

The fund has recorded an 18.62 percent return as of December 2024, reflecting its strong performance.
