  • A workforce of over 6,500 supports operations in more than 40 countries
  • Nearly 6,000 employees are upskilled as demand grows for digital capabilities

ING Hubs Philippines is strengthening its role as a strategic engine for global banking operations, with investments in talent development and innovation helping cement the Philippines’ standing as a key destination for high-value global capability services.

The momentum was recognized after ING Hubs Philippines was named Global Capability Center of the Year at the 2026 IBPAP SOLAIA Awards, an honor recognizing excellence in operational performance, innovation, talent development, and business impact across the country’s IT-BPM sector.

Why it matters

The recognition reflects the industry's shift from traditional outsourcing toward global capability centers that perform higher-value work, including technology, operations, and enterprise-wide transformation.

ING Hubs Philippines has evolved into ING’s largest global capability hub, employing more than 6,500 people. The organization supports operations across more than 40 countries and delivers over 400 services spanning more than 30 global capability domains in operations and technology.

Hazel Zaide Delos Santos, country manager of ING Hubs Philippines, and members of the organization’s leadership team received the award. “ING Hubs Philippines reflects the direction in which the IT-BPM industry is heading, where global teams play an increasingly important role in shaping enterprise priorities,” Jack Madrid, president and CEO of IBPAP, said in a press statement.

“This recognition highlights the strength of Filipino talent in delivering complex, cross-border work and reinforces the Philippines’ position as a key driver of capability and expertise in the global services landscape,” Madrid said.

By the numbers

The company said it has upskilled almost 6,000 employees through learning and development initiatives, representing a 9.7 percent increase in trained employees from 2024 to 2025. It was also named a finalist in the Talent Transformation Program of the Year category at the same awards.

“This recognition reflects the commitment and craft of our people,” said Hazel Zaide Delos Santos, country head of ING Hubs Philippines.

“Every day, our teams drive meaningful outcomes, innovate continuously, and deliver work that shapes and strengthens ING’s global operations and technology. We are proud to foster an environment that allows Filipino professionals to build purposeful global careers and drive world-class impact,” she said.

"Our people are at the heart of what we do. Across our teams, I see individuals who are eager to learn, take on new challenges, and grow in their careers. We want to support that growth by providing opportunities to develop new skills and gain experiences that prepare them for the future," Delos Santos added.

The bottom line
