The Commission on Elections (Comelec)  is strengthening its voter accessibility efforts through its continuing partnership with Robinsons Land Corp.  (RLC), designating 13 Robinsons Malls across the country as Mall Voting Precincts (MVPs) for the upcoming May 12 midterm national elections.

The Robinsons Malls hosting voting precincts are Robinsons Magnolia, Robinsons Manila, Robinsons Metro East, Robinsons Las Piñas, Robinsons Malabon, Robinsons Sta. A partner since 2014

This collaboration between Comelec and RLC is part of a decade-long partnership that began in 2014, when Robinsons Malls became the country’s first mall chain to offer off-site voter registration. Over the years, Robinsons has hosted biometric capturing, voter certificate issuance, and served as the first venue for Comelec’s Register Anywhere Program.

“We are optimistic that this program will encourage more Filipinos to exercise their right to vote,” said Joel Lumanlan, vice president for operations and marketing at Robinsons Malls. “Since 2014, we’ve worked closely with Comelec to make voter services more accessible.”

Voting made comfortable

This year’s mall-based precincts are being rolled out in coordination with Robinsons Malls’ Lingkod Pinoy Center, which supports the initiative's goal to make the electoral process smoother, faster, and more convenient for Filipinos.

Aside from the ease of voting in air-conditioned, strategically located venues, voters can also enjoy post-voting amenities like dining, shopping, or simply spending time with family—making election day not just civic but also community-centered. —Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
