APECO president and CEO Atty. Gil G. Taway IV met with Anglicotech CEO Officer David Cooper on Dec. 19, 2025 to discuss the company’s continued engagement and long-term outlook in the Philippines.
The meeting underscored Anglicotech’s confidence in APECO as a strategic location capable of supporting national security-related operations, logistics, and allied services.
Phased investment approach
Discussions also highlighted Anglicotech’s intent to pursue a measured, multi-phase investment strategy. The company aims to build on its existing operational strengths while positioning itself for future expansion as market conditions and policy environments mature.
Both parties emphasized the importance of alignment with government priorities, regional stability, and sustainable economic development in pursuing defense-related investments.
“Our engagement with Anglicotech reflects a shared understanding that defense-related investments require stability, policy clarity, a long-term perspective, and good governance,” Taway said. “These are precisely the areas being strengthened under APECO’s current reforms.”
Strategic ecozone role
Taway reaffirmed APECO’s commitment to providing a conducive investment environment, supporting responsible defense-related industries, and fostering partnerships that contribute to economic growth and job generation in Aurora.
Prior to the meeting, Cooper and Anglicotech Philippines country manager Edmund Rustia conducted a site inspection at the APECO ecozone in Casiguran, Aurora on Aug. 16.
