Taiwan tech targets real-world needs in PH market

Taiwanese technology companies are putting practical applications at the center of their push into the Philippine market, showcasing solutions designed to address business, healthcare and everyday consumer needs.

During the Taiwan Expo 2026, held on Sept. 17 to 19, 2026, the Taiwan Excellence Pavilion featured products across intelligent technology, smart life, consumer electronics and smart healthcare.

Creating opportunities

The showcase gave Philippine businesses a closer look at technologies that could support digitalization, operational efficiency, connectivity and wellness, while creating opportunities for commercial partnerships with Taiwanese companies.

“Taiwan Excellence reflects Taiwan’s longstanding commitment to innovation, quality and practical solutions. For us, a smarter future is about making everyday life easier, healthier, and better," Taiwan External Trade Development Council strategic marketing department executive director Brian Lee said in a press statement.

"The Pavilion showcased solutions from Taiwan across different industries while providing Philippine businesses with an opportunity to better understand the capabilities of these companies and explore potential partnerships,” he added. 

Flexibility in deploying AI

Aetina Corp. demonstrated edge AI hardware that allows organizations to run artificial intelligence applications closer to where data is generated, potentially giving businesses more flexibility in deploying AI across different operating environments.

Team Group Inc. focused on computing performance and sustainability, while Zyxel Networks showcased secure cloud networking as companies expand cloud-based operations and digital infrastructure.

Seamless integration

Healthcare exhibitors Jian Ling Technology Co. Ltd. and KUANG YU Metal Working Co., Ltd.  presented products positioned around health and wellness. Sauber Technology Co. Ltd., meanwhile, highlighted air purification technology designed for more seamless integration into homes and commercial spaces.

The pavilion, that carried the campaign “Empowering a smarter future,” brought together 50 Taiwan Excellence-awarded products from 24 brands.

Beyond product demonstrations, organizers positioned the event as a meeting point where Philippine business leaders and industry professionals can understand Taiwanese technologies, identify applications for local requirements and explore areas for cooperation.
