The two-day celebration drew thousands of fans and spotlighted The Victor, RLC’s iconic 60-meter public art installation, as a symbol of unity, creativity, and Filipino pride.
A night of lights and legends
The event launched with an awe-inspiring drone and projection show that lit up the Bridgetowne skyline with cinematic imagery: Superman soaring through the sky, his canine sidekick Krypto, and the iconic red-and-yellow “S” emblem. The centerpiece of the spectacle was The Victor, which transformed into a heroic beacon with the Superman logo brilliantly illuminating its chest.
Crafted by Filipino-American artist Jefrë, The Victor stands 60 meters tall, weighs over 300 tons, and has become a rising cultural landmark. Its dramatic transformation during the Superman celebration captured the imagination of fans and underscored the sculpture’s growing national and global relevance.
Unity in heroism: A record-breaking moment
The excitement continued the next day with the Philippines’ largest-ever human formation of the Superman “S” symbol. Thousands of fans—many in costume—assembled beneath The Victor’s raised fist, creating a powerful display of community, fandom, and shared celebration.
The event reached a thrilling climax when Superman stars David Corenswet (Clark Kent/Superman) and Rachel Brosnahan (Lois Lane), along with director James Gunn and producer Peter Safran, made a surprise appearance, drawing cheers from the ecstatic crowd.
A vision realized for Bridgetowne
“Bridgetowne was designed to bring people together through bold ideas and memorable experiences,” said RLC president and CEO Mybelle V. Aragon-GoBio. “Welcoming Superman and the team behind the film to The Victor reflects what this estate stands for—a place where global stories find a home and the Filipino spirit takes center stage.”
The Victor stands tall—national symbol and global icon
Bridgetowne spans 30 hectares across Pasig and Quezon City, and blends office, residential, retail, recreational, and civic spaces. The estate is rapidly gaining recognition not just as a sustainable, future-ready community, but also as an emerging cultural and creative hub.
“Our aspiration for The Victor has always been to reflect the Filipino winning spirit,” Aragon-GoBio added. “To see Superman—an international emblem of hope and heroism—land here affirms the global relevance of what we are building at Bridgetowne.” —Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
