Following SMC on the list of top employers are Accenture and Ayala Corp. Other notable companies in the top tier include Google, JP Morgan Chase & Co., SM Development Corp. (SMDC), Nestlé, Globe, P&G, Aboitiz, Amazon, BDO, and Emapta, the report showed.
Reputation, values and work-life balance
The survey highlights the preferences of Filipino jobseekers, shedding light on the companies that lead in terms of desirability due to factors such as reputation, organizational values, and work-life balance. Work culture, monetary and non-monetary benefits, and job security were also influential factors in employer selection.
In the public sector and NGO category, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) claimed the top spot, with Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) and the Department of Education (DepEd) rounding out the top three. Additional noteworthy organizations included the United Nations, Department of Health (DOH), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), and the US Embassy.
Filipino jobseekers mainly rely on social media, news, and online articles (38 percent), followed by company websites (17 percent) and word-of-mouth (14 percent), to evaluate potential employers. Employers are encouraged to enhance their visibility on these platforms to attract talent.
Retention a challenge
Retention remains a critical challenge. The survey identified salary increases (39 percent), flexible working hours (13 percent), and promotions (13 percent) as key drivers for boosting employee morale and satisfaction.
