Roxas and Company Inc. is cleaning up its debt load with a P1.93-billion refinancing facility from China Banking Corp.

The listed company signed an omnibus loan and security agreement with China Bank, which agreed to extend a term loan of up to P1.932 billion.

Roxas and Co. said the fresh financing will be used to refinance existing loan obligations of the company and its subsidiaries, effectively replacing old debt with the new facility.

Part of the proceeds will also go toward general corporate purposes, giving the company additional financial flexibility.

Roxas and Co. chair Pedro Roxas with Chinabank chair Hans Sy.

RCI received P9.59 billion in May 2025 for 1,322.23 hectares taken for agrarian reform from three haciendas originally covering 2,941.46 hectares.

It is now moving to monetize more of its remaining landholdings, including plans to sell a 278.31-hectare property in Nasugbu and master-plan the RCI Estate.

The latest refinancing comes as RCI reshapes its balance sheet while seeking to extract more value from a land portfolio transformed by the agrarian reform settlement.
