Insider Spotlight
The promotion allows travelers to book flights for travel beginning Aug. 1, 2026 onward. Passengers can enjoy up to 30 percent off select fares for trips until Jan. 31, 2027. Those traveling from Feb. 1, 2027 onward can access deeper discounts of up to 50 percent off domestic base fares and up to 40 percent off international base fares on select routes.
The big picture
The sale comes as airlines continue using promotional campaigns to encourage early bookings and secure future passenger demand.
By targeting both domestic leisure travelers and international vacationers, PAL aims to capture demand across multiple travel segments while encouraging customers to finalize plans well in advance.
The airline highlighted destinations across the Philippines, including heritage towns, beach destinations, and major cities in Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao.
It also promoted its international network spanning Asia, Australia, North America, and the Middle East, positioning the sale as an opportunity for both local and overseas travel.
Why it matters
Beyond discounted fares, PAL is bundling the promotion with value-added services typically associated with full-service carriers, including checked baggage allowances on eligible fares, inflight meals, and onboard service.
The airline is also providing zero percent installment options for domestic bookings in Philippine peso worth at least P20,000 for up to three months through participating banks, including BPI, Metrobank, and HSBC.
Customers may book promotional fares through the airline's website, mobile application, ticket offices, hotline, or accredited travel agents. PAL said bookings will only be available during the July 15-17 promotional window before fares return to regular pricing.
Founded in 1941, Philippine Airlines operates nonstop flights from Manila and Cebu to 29 domestic destinations and 40 international destinations. The airline noted it was recognized by Cirium for achieving the highest on-time performance among Asia-Pacific carriers in 2025. —Vanessa Hidalgo | Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
