ERC orders 13 power firms to explain persistent outages

CEBU CITY—The Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) has issued 24 show cause orders against 13 power generation companies for allegedly exceeding allowable unplanned outage limits, as the Visayas power grid continues to grapple with supply constraints caused by prolonged plant outages.
