MPower, the retail electricity supply unit of Manila Electric Co. (Meralco), has renewed its power supply contract with the Gokongwei Group, expanding its coverage to include a broader portfolio of companies across Luzon, the parties announced on Monday, June 23.
Meralco’s retail electricity arm, MPower, has partnered with property developer DMCI Homes to bring its residential communities into the Competitive Retail Electricity Market (CREM) and Retail Aggregation Program (RAP), marking a first in the Philippine real estate sector.

The renewed Retail Electricity Supply Agreement ensures that TAP will continue to benefit from MPower’s reliable and cost-effective energy solutions for its Sta. Rosa, Laguna facility—the first manual transmission manufacturing plant under Toyota Motor Corp. located outside Japan.
The contract includes powering SM Retail’s primary headquarters in Pasay City, aligning with the conglomerate’s commitment to sustainable practices through clean energy adoption.
