The Philippine Chamber of Telecommunications Operators (PCTO) has expressed strong support for President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s vision of a digitally connected Philippines but cautioned against the immediate passage of the Konektadong Pinoy Bill in its current form.
More popularly referred to as the KP bill, it proposes to allow the entry of new players in the telco broadband business — without requiring a Congressional franchise and with less-than-usual supervision from the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC).
