DA chief maps out Rice Tariffication Law overhaul
Agriculture Secretary Francisco P. Tiu Laurel Jr. on Wednesday urged senators to support sweeping amendments to the Rice Tariffication Law (RTL), saying reforms are necessary to safeguard the local rice industry, restore farmer profitability, and bolster national food security.
