Insider Spotlight
The December milestone came as HPI closed the year with total retail sales of 1,041,237 units and wholesale sales of 1,044,510 units, reinforcing its long-standing leadership in the Philippine two-wheel industry.
Why it matters
The record-breaking December performance highlights the resilience of consumer spending on mobility solutions despite a competitive market environment.
Year-end demand traditionally benefits from holiday spending and business fleet replenishment, but HPI’s result stands out as the strongest monthly retail showing in the company’s history.
Driving forces behind the surge
HPI attributed its strong performance to continued customer trust in its product quality, reliability, and wide-ranging lineup designed to meet daily commuting, business, and leisure needs.
The company emphasized its mission to bring the joy of mobility to Filipino riders through efficient and dependable motorcycles.
Top-performing models
Retail momentum was supported by HPI’s top five models: CLICK125, ADV160, BeAT, TMX125 Alpha, and XRM125 DS.
The Click125 led sales rankings, benefiting from its fuel efficiency and rider-friendly features, while the ADV160 attracted adventure-oriented riders with its balance of power, safety technologies, and comfort.
The BeAT remained popular among first-time and younger riders, while the TMX125 Alpha and XRM125 DS continued to serve work and utility-focused customers across urban and rural areas.
What they’re saying
“Our strong performance in 2025 reflects the continued trust of Filipino riders and the strength of our diverse product lineup. We remain committed to delivering innovative and dependable motorcycles that support the daily lives, work, and aspirations of our customers,” Takeshi Kobayashi, president of HPI, said in a press release on Jan. 13, 2026.
Looking ahead
Building on its record December finish, HPI said it remains focused on offering motorcycles that balance performance, efficiency, and comfort as it moves into 2026, aiming to respond to the evolving needs of Filipino riders while maintaining its market leadership. —Vanessa Hidalgo | Ed: Corrie S.
