“Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport early and coordinate with their respective airlines for any flight updates,” CAAP said in an advisory on Monday.
“CAAP is working closely with local authorities to ensure the safety and security of passengers at the Davao International Airport,” it added.
Cebu Pacific allows free rebooking
In a separate advisory, Cebu Pacific said it is aware of the ongoing demonstrations in Davao that are affecting access to Francisco Bangoy International Airport.
The carrier is offering flexible options, including free rebooking and the option to convert to a travel fund.
These options are available for the following flights scheduled to depart on August 26, 2024, and can be accessed through the Manage Booking portal on the Cebu Pacific website up to two hours before departure.
“Our immediate priority is to ensure the safety of our passengers, crew, and staff. Passengers are advised to allow extra time for their journey to the airport as they may experience longer travel times,” Cebu Pacific said.
