Converge said millennial Robert Leo A. Yu was hired as CFO effective May 10 this year.
Yu, who left his job at Malaysia-headquartered private equity firm Creador, which handles $2.3 billion in assets across the region, was a consultant for Converge from 2018 until 2019.
This was around the time when Converge secured a landmark $225 million investment from Warburg Pincus, helping bankroll the fiber internet provider’s nationwide rollout ahead of its initial public offering in the midst of the global health crisis in 2020.
Yu, who holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business, was also an investment principal at Sierra Madre Advisers Inc. He began his career in New York, focusing on mergers, acquisitions and capital raising at Citigroup.
Matthias Vukovich previously served as chief financial office adviser from 2020 until 2023.
Miguel R. Camus has been a reporter covering various domestic business topics since 2009.
