The payment platform said the initiative is designed to make everyday financial transactions simpler and more affordable by eliminating charges commonly associated with digital payments.
Fee-free services
BDO Pay allows users to send money for free to BDO accounts, other banks, and e-wallets through InstaPay or PesoNet.
The app also enables users to pay bills to more than 2,200 accredited billers and purchase prepaid mobile load without transaction fees.
In addition, customers can scan QRPh codes to pay merchants using their linked BDO debit or credit cards, send money through InstaPay QR, and withdraw or deposit cash at QR-enabled automated teller machines (ATMs) at no extra cost.
One platform
In a statement, BDO Pay said the platform is designed to reduce the need for multiple payment applications and eliminate the additional step of cashing in funds before completing transactions.
Users can pay directly using their linked BDO deposit account or credit card, allowing them to manage everyday expenses through a single application.
The app also provides access to exclusive deals, discounts, and cashback offers while allowing customers to view, monitor, and redeem their rewards points in one place.
According to BDO Pay, consolidating these features into one platform gives customers a more convenient and seamless digital payment experience.
Referral drive
To encourage more Filipinos to adopt digital payments, BDO Pay is running a referral program from July 1 to Sept. 30, 2026.
Existing users who share their referral code with family members or friends will receive P100 in cash credits for every successful referral. New users who sign up using the referral code will receive P50 in cash credits after completing the registration process.
Customers can access the referral code by selecting the "Refer a Friend" option under the "More" menu in the BDO Pay app and sharing it through their preferred messaging platform.
BDO Pay said the campaign aims to make digital payments more accessible while rewarding users for encouraging others to adopt cashless transactions.
The company said its latest initiatives reflect the growing demand for convenient and cost-effective payment solutions, allowing customers to complete everyday financial transactions without paying additional service fees. —Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
