On the sidelines of the Philippines-Korea Business Forum at Manila Hotel in Manila on Oct. 7, 2024, BCDA and RMS Platform signed an MOU to explore partnership opportunities in developing smart city infrastructure.
This collaboration includes a proof of concept for an eGovernment digital platform designed to streamline services in New Clark City, offering citizens and locators easy access to city information, web-based services, and online transactions.
Residential communities
BCDA also signed an MOU with Korea Overseas Infrastructure and Urban Development Corp. (KIND) to study the development of affordable residential communities in New Clark City. The partnership aims to introduce cost-effective and sustainable housing solutions, ensuring high-quality living environments for Filipino families.
Hub for sports events
On Oct. 8, BCDA and South Korea’s Fine TME inked another MOU to conduct studies on optimizing the operations and maintenance of New Clark City’s sports facilities. This partnership will integrate advanced technologies to position New Clark City as a premier hub for national and international sports events in Asia.
Urban development standards
BCDA president and CEO Joshua Bingcang emphasized the significance of these collaborations, stating that Korean expertise will elevate New Clark City’s urban development standards, aligning with the Philippine government's Build Better More program and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
