A.P. Moller Capital and Ayala Corp. have completed their strategic partnership in AC Logistics Holdings Corp., marking the close of a transaction designed to accelerate the logistics firm’s growth and strengthen supply chains across the Philippines.

The companies announced in a joint statement on July 7, 2026 that A.P. Moller Capital – Emerging Markets Infrastructure Fund II, through EMIF II Holding III B.V., has completed its investment for a 40-percent stake in AC Logistics after satisfying all closing conditions, including merger control clearances.

The big picture

The partnership combines A.P. Moller Capital’s global transportation and logistics expertise with Ayala’s local market knowledge and business network to expand AC Logistics’ nationwide footprint, improve service quality, and strengthen operational capabilities.

The companies said the investment will help AC Logistics scale its four strategic pillars: cold chain, air cargo logistics, contract logistics and national distribution, and project cargo.

It also aims to deepen services for food, agriculture, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, consumer goods, and retail customers.

Separately, AC Logistics earlier completed its acquisition of an 84-percent stake in Glacier Megafridge Inc. (GMI), strengthening its position in temperature-controlled logistics.

What they’re saying

“The completion of these transactions marks a transformative step in building a leading integrated logistics platform in the Philippines. Together with A.P. Moller Capital and GMI, we are augmenting our scale, enhancing our capabilities, and expanding our reach across the country," AC Logistics president and CEO Erry Hardianto said.

"These enable us to provide customers with seamless access to a more comprehensive and interconnected network of logistics nodes across the Philippines,” Hardianto said.

The company said its immediate priority is integrating GMI into its network while maintaining business continuity and unlocking commercial synergies through its expanded scale.

“AC Logistics has built a strong position in the Philippine logistics market in a relatively short period of time. The country’s geography and growth outlook create a clear need for more efficient, resilient, and integrated supply chains," A.P. Moller Capital senior partner Lars Reno Jakobsen said.

"We see an opportunity to support AC Logistics and Ayala Corporation in scaling a platform that can deliver attractive, sustainable long-term growth, serving customers across key logistics segments, while contributing to the wider development of the sector in the Philippines,” Jakobsen added.

Why it matters

Ayala said the partnership aligns with its strategy of working with global industry leaders to expand its businesses and improve execution.

“This partnership reflects Ayala’s long-standing strategy of working with world-class companies to scale our businesses, strengthen execution, and serve customers better,” Ayala Corp. president and CEO Cezar Consing said. —Daxim L. Lucas| Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
