The renovated terminal now boasts a capacity of 8,000 passengers, up from 2,500, and features fully air-conditioned lounges, improved accessibility for the elderly and persons with disabilities, and enhanced security measures.

Operated by the group of businessman Eusebio Tanco, the Batangas port is a vital hub that connects Luzon to various regions including Southwestern Tagalog and the Visayas.

Despite challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the modernization of Batangas Port began in 2021 with the completion of its first phase in 2022 and the second phase in early 2024.
