The Ayala Group has hired Maersk’s top Asia Pacific executive to lead its logistics unit, which is undergoing strategic reorganization.
In a stock exchange filing on Friday, Ayala Corp. said Erry Hardianto will be the new CEO of AC Logistics effective July 1, 2024. He takes the place of longtime company executive and Ayala senior managing director Rene Almendras, who will continue to oversee Ayala’s public affairs group.
Hardianto was Asia Pacific regional logistics operations head at Maersk, where he worked for 23 years, handling the company’s businesses in Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines,”
He takes the helm of AC Logistics as the group shifts gears, winding down delivery and freight forwarder Entrego, which will be integrated into the Air21 Group.
Ayala, the country’s oldest conglomerate, established AC Logistics in 2021 as its primary holding company in the sector.
