The transaction, completed through the acquisition of 100 percent of the equity share capital of OS-HRS Malaysia, OS-HRS Japan, and OS-HRS India from Tokyo-based BREXA Inc., expands AscentHR's regional delivery capabilities. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Why it matters
The acquisition adds more than 140 payroll and HR professionals to AscentHR's regional workforce, extending its footprint across Japan, China, Malaysia, Korea, Singapore, and India. It also introduces new regional delivery hubs in Malaysia and Japan that complement the company's existing operations.
The expanded network is designed to help multinational companies navigate Philippine tax and statutory requirements while enabling Philippine-headquartered businesses to scale operations across Asia-Pacific through a single payroll and compliance partner.
What they're saying
"This marks an important milestone in AscentHR's vision of building a leading regional payroll and workforce solutions platform. The Philippines continues to be an important market within our regional strategy," AscentHR CEO Subramanyam Sreenivasaiah said in a press statement.
"With OS HRS becoming part of AscentHR, we are combining trusted local expertise with broader regional capabilities, enabling us to deliver greater value to customers while creating new opportunities for our employees," the AscentHR CEO said in a press statement.
AscentHR said its immediate focus is maintaining uninterrupted service for existing customers before gradually introducing an expanded portfolio of payroll, HR technology, compliance, and workforce management solutions across its markets, including the Philippines.
The company added that continued investments in AI-enabled capabilities, automation, analytics, and information security will support future platform enhancements.
The bottom line
The integration will be carried out in phases to ensure business continuity for customers, employees, and partners.
Looking ahead, AscentHR said it expects the combined organization to create additional opportunities across its regional delivery network while helping Philippine companies expand throughout Asia-Pacific and the Middle East with localized compliance support under a unified operating model. —Vanessa Hidalgo| Ed: Corrie S.
