Financial inclusion as growth strategy

Access to financing remains critical for Filipino entrepreneurs seeking capital to establish businesses, expand operations, and sustain their livelihoods.

Global Dominion provides financing solutions for business capital, vehicle purchases, education, home improvements, and emergency expenses.

Under Cariño's leadership, the company is positioning financial inclusion as a growth strategy, linking its business expansion to the financing needs of Filipino entrepreneurs.

Experience, insights into MSMEs challenges

Cariño's leadership reflects his experience across different levels of the financing industry.

He began as an account officer before becoming Global Dominion's first branch manager in Baguio City.

He subsequently served as general manager and deputy chief operating officer before leading another financing company.

Cariño returned to Global Dominion earlier this year, bringing additional experience and insights into the challenges limiting MSMEs' access to credit.

"I've worked in one small branch, and I've sat at the center of an organization with thousands of employees. I understand our customers and this business from the ground up, and that's what I'm proudest of," he said in a press statement.

Helping borrowers to succeed

Global Dominion chair Ruben Y. Lugtu II emphasized Cariño's focus on helping borrowers succeed.

“More than just being able to hit loan disbursement targets, he wants to make sure our loans become instruments to our customers’ growth and success,” Lugtu added.
