Driving workforce development
The newly inaugurated TCL–TESDA Center in Taguig City serves as a hub for aspiring HVAC technicians to gain practical experience and industry-level expertise in air-conditioning technology. The collaboration underscores TCL’s commitment to strengthening the local talent pool and enhancing long-term sector productivity.
“This marks a special milestone for us—the very first batch of the TCL–TESDA Training Program. It's a huge privilege to officially welcome the pioneer batch for the TCL Training Program at TESDA RTC-NCR,” Joseph Cernitchez, brand manager of TCL Philippines, said in a press release on Oct. 9, 2025.
“Our goal is to empower a new generation of highly skilled workers. We anticipate many more successful training cycles and look forward to endorsing our future graduates to TCL’s authorized service centers, where they can apply their skills and explore career opportunities,” Cernitchez added.
Hands-on learning for job readiness
The first batch of 25 trainees underwent a one-day intensive course led by TCL’s Product and Service teams. The program covered installation, repair, and maintenance, with a special focus on TCL’s FreshIN and VoxIN technologies, smart features, and the TCL Home App.
“Today marks a significant milestone for TCL, TESDA, and, more importantly, for our trainees who are about to embark on a journey that combines knowledge, skill building, and future-ready opportunities,” said Eugene P. Agcaoili, center administrator of TESDA RTC–NCR.
Building future pipelines
TCL’s partnership with TESDA opens employment pathways through its service center network. “It reflects our shared vision with TESDA to empower Filipino talent through education, innovation, and hands-on experience,” added Vincent Tobias, assistant product manager for Air Conditioner. —Vanessa Hidalgo| Ed: Corrie S.
