Unveiled on Feb. 28, 2024, the EV charging hub is a collaboration between RLC and Wuling Philippines, highlighting their commitment to eco-friendly transportation solutions.
The signing ceremony, held in the GBF Center lobby, was attended by RLC president and CEO Mybelle V. Aragon GoBio, senior vice president and general manager of Robinsons Offices Jericho Go, Wuling Philippines president Lloyd Lee, and architect and brand ambassador Shamcey Supsup-Lee.
A greener future with GoCharge
The solar-powered GoCharge station features state-of-the-art EV chargers, including both standard and fast-charging units, for cars and motorcycles.
The standard chargers provide 220V/32A at 7KW, allowing a full charge in six to seven hours, while the fast-charging units deliver 400V with 114-228A at 60-120KW, enabling rapid charging in as little as 30 minutes. These units are powered entirely by solar energy, thanks to Wuling’s solar panel installation atop the GBF Center Tower in late 2024.
During the event, GoBio emphasized Robinsons Land’s long-term commitment to sustainability, stating:
“I believe RLC and Wuling share a vision of creating a more sustainable and future-ready Philippines. As with Wuling, RLC is deeply committed to innovation and excellence.”
She highlighted how GoCharge aligns with RLC’s broader green initiatives across office buildings, malls, industrial and logistics facilities, hotels, and residential estates.
Driving economic and environmental change
Jericho Go of Robinsons Offices shared insights into the economic benefits of EV adoption, beyond just sustainability. He pointed out that for many Filipino families, switching to electric vehicles means significant savings on fuel costs, which can be redirected toward education, healthcare, and daily expenses.
“With more affordable mobility and reduced expenses, we can help level the playing field and truly improve lives,” he stated.
After the unveiling, guests were given a first-hand look at the GoCharge EV charging area on the building’s second level.
Expansion plans for a nationwide EV network
Following this successful launch, Robinsons Land aims to expand GoCharge stations across the country by partnering with leading EV and energy industry players. The company plans to deploy 2,000 charging units within the next five years, ensuring widespread accessibility for EV owners.
Robinsons Land remains open to partnerships with other EV brands, reinforcing its role as a champion of clean energy solutions. With the GoCharge network, RLC is not just adapting to the future—it is driving it forward, helping Filipinos transition to greener, more cost-effective transportation solutions.
