Gov't work, classes suspended in Luzon on Oct. 23 due to tropical storm Kristine

Work in government offices and classes in Luzon is suspended on Oct. 23 due to Tropical Storm “Kristine.”

Agencies providing essential services, disaster response, and health care will continue operations, the Presidential Communications Office announced on Tuesday.

Private companies will decide whether to suspend work at their discretion, it added.

The Philippine Daily Inquirer reported on Tuesday afternoon that Kristine slightly intensified as it moved over the Bicol region, with wind signals raised in several areas.

The storm’s winds increased to 75 kilometers per hour, with gusts reaching 90 kph.
