Global Dominion Financing Inc. is reinforcing its push for accessible refinancing solutions as more Filipino households and small businesses seek alternatives to traditional bank lending amid rising operating costs and tighter credit conditions.

The financing firm said its flagship Sangla ORCR and Sangla Titulo products allow borrowers to unlock the value of assets they already own, providing capital for business expansion, emergencies, education, home improvement, and other financial needs.

The company said it has served more than 28,000 clients nationwide in 2025 through its network of 196 branches.

The big picture

Global Dominion said many Filipinos remain underserved by conventional financial institutions because they do not meet strict lending requirements despite owning valuable assets such as vehicles or real property.

The company said refinancing provides an alternative to informal lending, which often comes with significantly higher borrowing costs.

The company cited customers who used refinancing to grow their businesses. Sand trading entrepreneur Genilyn Lawas financed her first surplus truck in 2022 after demand exceeded her delivery capacity. She later acquired a brand-new truck through Global Dominion, expanding her fleet to seven vehicles.

“Global Dominion gave me the push I needed to grow,” she said. “Now I can serve more customers and take on larger projects,” Lawas added.

Why it matters

Global Dominion also highlighted hardware and construction supplies business owner Richard Deaño, who expanded from a trucking operation into retail while adding new trucks through refinancing.

The company said both borrowers benefited from transparent loan terms, straightforward requirements, and financing tailored to their business needs.

Beyond lending, the firm is investing in financial education through its Ka-partner Academy, launched in June 2024.

The initiative has conducted dozens of training sessions on budgeting, financial management, and responsible borrowing while providing digital tools such as a loan calculator, budgeting tips, payment reminders, and scam prevention advisories.

Samuel Cariño, Global Dominion president and CEO

Global Dominion president and CEO Samuel Cariño said the company's role extends beyond financing.

“At Global Dominion, our relationship with the Filipino people has never been just about financial transactions; it is about shared journeys. For over 20 years, we have taken pride in being a steady, reliable anchor for families and entrepreneurs navigating life’s most unpredictable and challenging moments,” Cariño said in a press statement.

“As Global Dominion moves forward, our commitment remains absolute: to walk side-by-side with our fellow Filipinos, transforming barriers into opportunities and ensuring that no dream is sidelined by a lack of accessible support,” he added. —Vanessa Hidalgo| Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
