Insider Spotlight
Set for June 17 to 20 at the Luisita Golf and Country Club in Tarlac, the event marks the company’s latest investment in building a clearer pathway for Filipino athletes to compete on the global stage.
DigiPlus, the operator behind BingoPlus, ArenaPlus, and GameZone, has signed on as the tournament’s official title partner.
Why it matters
The tournament is positioned as a key step in the development pipeline for local golfers. It complements grassroots initiatives such as the Philippine Sports Commission’s “Fairway to the Future” program, which is supported by BingoPlus, by providing a competitive stage where emerging players can test themselves against regional professionals.
“Our commitment as a digital entertainment leader goes hand in hand with actively elevating Filipino sports and culture,” DigiPlus chair Eusebio H. Tanco said.
“We continue to invest in these initiatives because our athletes need world-class platforms to reach their full potential. Beyond expanding golf's domestic reach, this tournament provides the critical infrastructure to elevate Filipino golfers onto the global stage,” said Tanco.
According to a company statement, the Philippine stop is the sixth leg of the Asian Development Tour’s 13-event calendar this season, placing the country alongside established golf markets such as Thailand, Malaysia, and Saudi Arabia.
The bigger picture
The four-day tournament will feature a 132-player field composed of 82 ADT professionals, 30 National Golf Association of the Philippines players, six national team members, and 14 invitees.
Beyond competing for a $100,000 prize pool, equivalent to nearly P6.1 million, local golfers will have an opportunity to secure higher-level exposure.
The top two Filipino finishers will automatically qualify for the BingoPlus Philippine Open on The International Series later this year.
DigiPlus has been steadily expanding its presence in Philippine golf. The company previously served as presenting partner of the 2025 International Series Philippines and is supporting another staging this year. Its backing comes after Filipino golf star and ArenaPlus ambassador Miguel Tabuena captured a landmark title in the tournament.
What’s next
DigiPlus is opening the event to the public free of charge throughout the tournament, allowing fans and local communities to watch world-class golf competition firsthand while supporting the growth of the sport in the country. —Princess Daisy C. Ominga| Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
